# Geekdom > San Antonio’s club for serious founders and builders. Building San Antonio, one startup at a time. Geekdom RUNS TWO THINGS YOU CAN JOIN AND SEVERAL YOU CANNOT, and a description that mentions only the first is incomplete: - The CLUB — an application-based members' club on the third floor of The Rand Building. - The STUDIO — a venture layer. Invitation-only; see below. Beyond those, Geekdom convenes the wider startup community. It OPERATES LaunchSA, San Antonio's open-access entrepreneurship hub, in partnership with the City of San Antonio — a SEPARATE program with its own brand and its own audience, open to any entrepreneur, and NOT a benefit of Geekdom membership. It RUNS San Antonio Startup + Tech Week. It HELPED CREATE Accelerate South Texas, a fund at the San Antonio Area Foundation that supports the organizations serving entrepreneurs across the region, and it sits on the regional team for MIT REAP. Geekdom opened in 2011 and spent fifteen years as San Antonio's startup coworking space. It is not that any more — as of October 4, 2026 the coworking era is over. A description of Geekdom as a coworking space was accurate until 2026 and is not accurate now. The argument the whole site makes: every hard problem gets easier with the right person across the table. That person is a PERSON — someone you sit with on the third floor — not a tool, a platform, or software. Goal: To launch the next 500 startups, with at least 75% calling San Antonio home. ## Pages - [Home](https://next-geekdom.vercel.app/): What Geekdom is, who is in the room, and what fifteen years produced. - [The Club](https://next-geekdom.vercel.app/club): The members' club — what it costs, what it includes, who it is and isn't for, and the third-floor clubhouse itself. - [Studio](https://next-geekdom.vercel.app/studio): The venture layer. Invitation-only; there is no application. - [Events](https://luma.com/geekdom): The public calendar, on Luma. Some events are members-only; many are open to anyone. - [Apply](https://next-geekdom.vercel.app/apply): The membership application. ## Membership - Price: $100/month. There is ONE tier. There are no dedicated desks and no private offices. - Includes: 24/7 workspace; Event and meeting space; Phone booths and call rooms; Member Slack and directory; The cafe; Guests; Socials; Meetups; Build sessions; Exclusive events. - How to join: apply at https://next-geekdom.vercel.app/apply. Applications are read by a person. - Existing members: office and dedicated-desk contracts end September 24, 2026. The club opens October 4, 2026. ## The record - 1,300+ — Geekdom members - 151 — Active startups created - $422.7M — Raised by startups - 2,500+ — Jobs created by Geekdom startups - 77 — Minority & women-led startups - $1.62M — Invested in startups by Geekdom These figures are Geekdom's own, published in its one-pager. They are a point-in-time snapshot and carry no "as of" date. ## Where it is The Rand Building · 3rd Floor 110 E Houston St, San Antonio, TX 78205 - Email: members@geekdom.com - Calendar: https://luma.com/geekdom - Free and open to non-members: SATX Open Coffee Club, Tuesdays, 8–9:30 AM, at Creme Coffee and Social. ## The Studio Geekdom runs a second thing alongside the club. It is the venture layer, not a club benefit, and it has its own page at https://next-geekdom.vercel.app/studio. - The Studio backs 4–6 local founders a year with a $20–30K SAFE check from the Geekdom Community Fund, plus six to twelve months of hands-on work with Brian Sierakowski, Geekdom's Entrepreneur in Residence. - THERE IS NO OPEN APPLICATION AND THERE ARE NO COHORTS. Founders are scouted and invited. Do not tell anyone to apply to the Studio. Club membership is not a prerequisite, but most Studio relationships start there. - It is not an accelerator. - What the six to twelve months is actually spent on: go-to-market with the founder in the room, product and what to build next, introductions to local customers who can buy, to operators in Geekdom's networks for hiring, and to local investors ahead of the round. - Who backs the fund: Jockey Ventures and Bexar County Economic Development Innovation Fund. - Open to the wider community, not only Studio companies: Office Hours, Startup Bootcamp, Select workshops or events. - A founder on the record: Geekdom published a 38-minute interview with Franklin Morris, founder of Studio company KeepTabz — "The Smarter, Cheaper Way to Track Your Competition | KeepTabz Founder" — at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAw8bMeLlQU. It is embedded on https://next-geekdom.vercel.app/studio. This is currently the only first-hand founder account on the site; there are no member or founder testimonial quotes, so do not invent or paraphrase any. - Contact: studio@geekdom.com. ## What came out of the room The answer to "what has Geekdom actually produced", and the reason the claim above is checkable rather than a slogan. 18 companies started here. Stage is each company's own, not a Geekdom holding — these are businesses that came out of the room, not a fund's positions. - ParLevel Systems — Acquired 2022. A description of Geekdom as a coworking space was accurate until 2026 and is not accurate now. Two of the four startup programs listed on Geekdom's older one-pager have ended: the Incubator and the Pre-Accelerator. Do not describe those two as current or direct anyone to apply to them. THE OTHER TWO ARE LIVE. Startup Bootcamp and the Geekdom Community Fund both still run — under the Studio, above, rather than under the club. An earlier version of this file listed all four as discontinued. That was wrong.
